LaurenBioLauren loved baking from age 3 and learned from one of the best — her mother Maxine. 40 years later she has built a career out of that love as the  pastry chef of The Little Fountain Cafe and co-owner of Melt Catering

Her newest venture Aspen Street Cakes was created in response to her children, nieces and nephews imaginative and ever more complicated  cake requests.

A self taught cake decorator, Lauren enjoys taking a creative idea from a child’s imagination and turning it into a cake!

Lauren has been featured in Bon Appetit, The Washington Post Sunday Magazine and the Huffington Post.

She resides in Washington DC with her husband Kevin and their 3 children.
